Are we still doing sticky intro posts?

Hello! My name is Blaise, and welcome to my blog where I talk about books, movies, music, tv, as well as life and mental health, and whatever else crosses my mind.

I'm a English asexual spoonie who lives in Lancashire and works as an archivist for my local council. 

I love paranormal and supernatural stories, especially, urban fantasy, horror, magical realism, and anything witchy/romantic. I would say my favourite genres are cozy mystery, paranormal mystery and paranormal romance but mostly I love discovering good stories, regardless of genre and medium. I enjoy all things glommy, as well as mythology, folklore, anthropology, nature, religion, and history. When not reading or buying books, I love listening to indie folk music, I'm fascinated by cryptozoology, I also love colouring, sleeping, and falling down true crime or ghost hunting rabbit holes.

I watch various TV shows in the above genres, my current favourites being Good Omens & Supernatural, as well as shows like The Dead Files and various documentaries looking at history, culture, and religion.

Oh, hey! I see we have a few things in common! I'm also ace, I love Good Omnes (but you knew that), and Supernautral (though I haven't been a part of the fandom for a long time. I created the DeanCasBigBang back in the day on my livejournal, though I no longer run it or anything. I looooved Supernatural, but I haven't kept up with it, so I guess it's kind of an iffy thing any longer. I do still love it -- but I don't indulge in it often. It is what it is!

I also enjoy paranormal romance, particularly anything that deals with deities or mythology. I'm a sucker for it. How do you feel about fairy tale remakes? There's a duology called "For the Wolf" by Hannah Whitten that's very good, at least by my estimation, that deals with deities with a Red Riding Hood aesthetic. It's a Beauty and the Beast retelling, which I'm also a sucker for. I really enjoyed the writing, but especially the second book. So neat. ♥

It's also pretty cool that you live in Lancashire. I'm from Ohio and there's really nothing of interest here, but it's cheap, so I suppose it's what I need it to be, lol.
